What Is a Mobile Splatter Tent?
Most people in Lloydminster have heard of a splatter room by now — you suit up, choose your colours, and throw paint at canvases in a dedicated space where making a mess is the entire point. The Splatter Tent takes that same idea and brings it to your backyard.
It’s the same energy, just portable.
How It Works
We set up the tent at your location, get the blacklights running, and stock it with paint and canvases. From there, guests can throw paint, use splatter guns, brush it on, or do whatever they want to their canvas. There’s no technique required and no wrong way to do it. Some people come in with a plan and some people just start throwing things — both approaches end up producing something genuinely interesting.
Every canvas comes out completely different. That’s not something you have to work at. It just happens naturally when you hand a group of people paint and tell them to go for it. Two siblings can do the same event and walk away with completely different pieces of art, even if they used the same colours.
The blacklights change the whole look of the paint while you’re working in the tent, which adds something you don’t quite expect if you haven’t experienced it before. It turns what could be a pretty low-key activity into something that actually feels like an event.

Setup and Takedown
We handle everything — delivery, setup, and takedown are all included. The tent goes up in your backyard and everything’s inside it, so there’s no risk of paint ending up where it shouldn’t. Guests wear protective gear during their session.
You do need a power source for the tent, and the setup works best on a flat surface with enough room to work around it. A standard outdoor electrical outlet covers it, or a generator is available to rent if power isn’t accessible where you’re setting up.
Who It's For
The Splatter Tent is set up for residential events — backyard birthdays, family gatherings, grad parties, reunions. It’s not something we bring out to fairs or community festivals. The residential setup keeps things manageable and lets everyone actually enjoy the experience instead of fighting through a crowd to get to it.
It works across a wide age range. Kids who are old enough to follow basic instructions get a lot out of it. Teens and adults tend to get even more into it, partly because there’s something freeing about doing something creative without any pressure to make it look a certain way.
Stag and stagettes, girls’ nights, group birthdays — it comes up a lot for those types of events too. It’s interactive, it produces a takeaway, and it’s a bit more interesting than just going out for dinner or drinks.
How It Compares to the Indoor Splatter Room
The mobile Splatter Tent and the indoor Splatter Room at our Lloydminster location are built around the same experience they’re just different settings. The indoor room is available year-round and works well for smaller groups, date nights, and people who want to come in without planning a full backyard event. The tent brings a version of that to your property, which makes it a good fit when you’ve already got a party going and want the splatter experience as part of it rather than as a separate trip.
Both are worth considering depending on what you’re planning. Some people do both the outdoor tent for the birthday party and the indoor room later in the year with a different group.
